HiCel™

HiCel™ is our premium brand of Microcrystalline Cellulose, recognized as one of the most consistent and reliable names in the cellulose industry. It is a spray-dried, directly compressible form of MCC and is available in a variety of grades, each differing in average particle size, moisture content, and bulk density.

HiCel™ 50MMCC 101Due to its small particle size, it is suitable for both wet and dry granulation processes. Its strong binding properties make it effective when combined with larger particles.
It is predominantly used in wet granulation applications.
HiCel™ 90MMCC 102Possesses a larger particle size and offers improved flowability, especially when mixed with smaller particle size ingredients. It is the most commonly used MCC grade in direct compression formulations.
HiCel™ LP200MCC 200This grade’s large particle size makes it well-suited for poorly flowing active ingredients. It improves blend flow properties, enables efficient high-speed tableting in direct compression, and reduces variation in tablet weight.
HiCel™ XLM 90Low moisture MCC 102Equivalent to Grade 102/90M, this version features a low moisture content (<1.5%), making it ideal for use with highly moisture-sensitive active ingredients.
HiCel™ XLM 50Low moisture MCC 101Equivalent to Grade 101/50M, this grade offers a low moisture content (<1.5%), making it suitable for extremely moisture-sensitive active ingredients.
HiCel™ XLM 200Low moisture MCC 200Same as Grade LP200, but with a low moisture content (<1.5%), making it suitable for use with extremely moisture-sensitive active ingredients.
HiCel™ 25MMCC 105This premium grade is specifically developed for chewable tablets. It enhances texture and compressibility, delivers a pleasant mouthfeel, reduces bitter tastes, and enhances flavor profiles.
HiCel™ 12MCC 12This coarse grade MCC combines excellent compatibility and high binding capacity with exceptional flow properties. It ensures consistent content uniformity and low weight variation, even at low concentrations of fine active ingredients.
HiCel™ 14Low moisture MCC 12Same as HiCel™ 12, but with a low moisture content (<1.5%), making it suitable for extremely moisture-sensitive active ingredients.
HiCel™ HD50MMCC 301These grades have particle sizes comparable to 50M and 90M but offer higher bulk densities. They enhance flowability and enable the manufacturing of thinner tablets.
HiCel™ HD90MMCC 302
HiCel™ 90M SCGThis grade is coarser than HiCel™ MCC 90M yet finer than HiCel™ MCC LP200, and is specifically designed to deliver high density when formulated with fine particle APIs.
